Public MRV Website – Climate Transparency of Burundi

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1 Presentation of service

This website is edited by Permanent Secretariat MRV Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Livestock of Burundi. It is the public platform for climate transparency to inform citizens, institutions and the international community about Burundi's climate action.

1.2 Purpose

These General Terms and Conditions of Use (CGU) define the terms of access and use of the MRV public website and the rights and obligations of visitors.

1.3 Acceptance of EGUs

Visiting the site implies full acceptance of these CGUs. In case of disagreement, the visitor must immediately stop using the site.

2. DEFINITIONS

Site : means the public MRV website accessible to all for the consultation of Burundi's climate data.

Visitor : anyone who accesses the site to consult the available public information.

Responsible The permanent MRV Secretariat – Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Livestock, Bujumbura, Burundi.

Content : public information, climate data, reports, graphics and visualisations available on the site.

3. ACCESS TO THE SITE

3.1. Free and free access

Access to the site is completely free, free and open to all visitors without restriction or prior registration. No user account is required to view the available information.

The site is accessible 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, subject to technical maintenance operations, which will be scheduled, as far as possible, outside the busy hours.

The Head shall endeavour to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the published information, but shall not guarantee the complete absence of errors. In the event of an error, the visitor is invited to report it.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND DATA USE

6.1 Data ownership

The climate data, reports and analyses presented are the property of the State of Burundi and the permanent MRV Secretariat.

6.2 Authorized use of public data

Visitors can use the site's public data to:

  • Studies and expertise

6.3 Conditions of use

11. APPLICABLE LAW

These CGUs are subject to Burundian law. In the event of a dispute, the competent courts of Bujumbura will have sole jurisdiction, after an amicable settlement.
