Validation of a Plan of Development and Management of the Rusizi National Park

From 3 to 4 February 2025, under the financial support of the European Union and Belgium through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Burundian Office for the Protection of the Environment (OBPE) organised a validation workshop for a Plan of Development and Management of the Rusizi National Park, respectively at the level of the Palmeraie and Delta sectors. The workshops included the authorities and managers of the OBPE, representatives of the administration, representatives of the defence and security corps, managers of the Rusizi National Park, associations involved in co-management of the park and local NGOs.
